Godspell was a musical performed by year 11 Musical Theatre pathway at BOA. This performance was unique as it was 'in the round' meaning the stage was in the middle of the theatre and the audience sat around it.
Peter Pan: The British Musical was performed at The Old Rep Theatre throughout December 2023 as their main 'Christmas production'. I took on a range of roles during this show. for example; human flying, sound 2, book cover. But my main role was Stage manager. This was my first time every taking on the role of stage manager I learnt a lot throughout which I can take on board and use in the future.

The Nutcracker
The Nutcracker is a Ballet performed by Birmingham royal every year around Christmas time at the Birmingham Hippodrome. I was selected by my college to join Birmingham royal ballet on placement as a part of the technical and stage crew for the 2023 run from November to December.

Behind The Curtain was a circus themed escape room that us as a class at BOA Stage and screen organised and created from scratch. this escape room was on a larger scale as it was at The Old Rep Theatre and we collaborated with a circus company called 'Cirque L'amour'.
My production role for the escape room was Head of props. This entailed organising and leading the props teams but also making and sourcing the props. I was also in charge of ensuring everything was set in the right place when resetting between visitors doing the escape room.
My admin role for the escape room was social media and marketing. this was my first time experiencing how to promote an event via social media and more and learnt a lot from it. As a part of this job role, I also took on the responsibility of directing when filming the trailer.

The Alexander Theatre in Birmingham puts on a performance with a theatre company called 'Stage X' every year. In 2023, the chosen show was 'Bring It On'. The head of wardrobe, Jane, asked BOA if we would like to select a small group of people to work as the hair and makeup team and also to help out as dressers.

'Summer holiday' was a musical performed by a youth theatre based in Birmingham called script youth. The show took place in may 2023 at The Old Rep Theatre. This was my first ever time taken on the role of dressing but learnt a lot of skills from doing so.

In April of 2023, I was invited to attend a private wedding event as a hair and makeup trainee by Neil Hughes, a makeup artist based in the UK, who specialises in hair and makeup for events and entertainment services. we created various looks on this day including a peacock, dear, a playing card and the mad hatter.

The Experiment was an immersive escape room that our college collaborated on using all different pathways to create this concept from scratch. i was assistant head of props meaning I helped organise, create and source all of the props. The unique thing i liked about working on an escape room is the fact that we have the responsibility to reset the escape room perfectly every time as all of the clues must be in the right place for it to work.
